So i also found this article pretty interesting! And i didn't forget to set my clocks forward an hour either! I know i missed a few days but last night was Uconn's 16th annual HuskyThon, which if you don't know is an 18 hour dance marathon to help raise money and support for Connecticut's children's hospital. It was a blast but boy let me tell you i am tired! What that experience taught me was that many of the kids that my particular group sponsored had various types of autoimmune diseases. After talking to them I finally got the gist that many of these kids diseases were allergy related. my initial thought was obviously that had to suck but then the thought came to me, do you think that genetically modified foods or hormones or any other toxin that are put or sprayed on our foods. have an affect on why they have this disease? why are so many kids becoming allergic to so many foods that the last generation was never allergic to or had signs of that allergy? I just figured i would leave that out there for a little food for thought.

This has nothing to do with food or race (at least not directly) but I participated in Huskython last year but was not able to attend this year. If you have never been to a dance marathon before, they are absolutely crazy and I highly recommend going to one. Although Huskython is over for this year, if you are in high school and looking to come to uconn, go to uconn, or just want to make a donation for a good cause I would recommend looking into Huskython and seeing what its all about!
